2014 Civic Si Build
This is my personal, and first car build. I started off with absolutely zero knowledge about cars and how they work.
Believe it or not, I didn’t even know how to change the oil.
Luckily for me, I was able to learn how to do all of the engine and transmission work on my car with the help of some friends, and youtube. A lot of youtube. There’s almost nothing youtube can’t teach.
The first modification I did was installing a small supercharger. After being underwhelmed by how little power the supercharger added, I decided to sell it and switch it for a turbo. Bigger blower, bigger gains!
I ended up putting a Comp 5862 turbo on my car, which makes great power. You know what they say about great power; WIth great power, comes blown engines and transmissions! (Who cares about responsibility right? \s)
Being the cautious and overthinking person that I am, I just couldn’t sleep knowing that my engine was near its limits. Now here is where the build really starts.
Here are a list of parts that I’ve put into my car so far:
- Comp 5862 ball bearing turbo
- Injector Dynamics ID1700x
- (2) DW300c fuel pumps
- Wiseco pistons 11.1:1
- Manley turbo tuff I beams
- Inline pro head studs
- Gear-x/Albins gears
- Wavetrac LSD
- Cortex EBC (Boost by gear)
- Hondata traction control
- Running on pure E85
- also a bunch of small stuff that aren’t really important, like suspension, BOV, etc.
